DR. GILLIAN LAWRENCE MEMORIAL LECTURE

In memory of Dr. Gillian Lawrence, this lecture is sponsored by the Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association (CanTRA). Dr. Lawrence was a founding member of CanTRA in 1980 and a former president of FRDI (now HETI), among many other major contributions she made in the field of therapeutic riding, both in Canada and internationally. Dr. Lawrence was a pioneer in this field, and is best remembered as a humble person who could nonetheless move mountains by her own example as a positive, cheerful, high-energy and very effective leader. Her legacy is huge. CanTRA has committed to sponsoring this memorial lecture at each HE​TI International Congress. The first such lecture was delivered at the 2018 Congress in Dublin.
